You've invested in your training. Your recovery deserves the same standard.
A few years ago, whole-body cryotherapy at home sounded like something reserved for elite athletes and billionaires. Today it's one of the fastest-growing features in Australian home gyms, penthouse wellness suites and luxury builds. And it makes sense: if you train most days, the ability to step into deep cold whenever you like — no booking, no drive, no waiting — changes how you recover.
But a home chamber is a significant purchase. Here are the questions worth asking before you buy, and why KRYO KUBE answers every one of them.
Question 1: Will it run on my home's power?
This is where many chambers fall over. Plenty of commercial systems need three-phase power — a costly upgrade most homes don't have.
The KRYO KUBE UNO runs on a standard Australian 10-amp single-phase outlet. Its rated draw is just 300 W — around 1.3 amps. No three-phase, no switchboard upgrade, no plumbing. If you have a power point, you have a place for it.
Question 2: What's actually inside the chamber?
For a home, this matters more than anywhere. KRYO KUBE chambers are 100% electric and nitrogen-free. They use refrigerated air — the same principle as any cooling system, just far colder. There's no gas to store, no deliveries to your door and nothing to refill.
That makes it a clean, simple fit for a family home, a garage gym or an apartment wellness room.
Question 3: Will it fit?
The UNO has a main body of 900 × 800 mm and stands 2,600 mm high, with a 500 mm-wide glass front. It fits neatly into a home gym corner, a spare room or a dedicated recovery space beside your sauna.
For larger residences, the OPULENT (1,300 × 1,300 mm) can be installed built-in — recessed into your joinery or walls — so it becomes part of the architecture.
Question 4: What will it cost to run?
Energy efficiency is at the heart of KRYO KUBE's design. Even at the UNO's full rated 300 W running 24 hours a day— the worst case — that's about 7.2 kWh a day, or roughly $2.20 a day at an indicative AUD $0.30/kWh. In practice, the chamber draws less when idle with the fan low or off.
Compare that with the ongoing cost of a weekly recovery-studio habit and the long-term value is easy to see.
Question 5: Who looks after it?
A home chamber should be backed by someone you can actually reach. KRYO KUBE is Australia's first manufacturer of electric whole-body cryotherapy chambers, and service is handled in-house:
24-month warranty on the chamber, parts and labour
48-hour service response, national Australian coverage
Certified to AUS/NZ electrical standards by KRYO KUBE's licensed electrician
EESS-registered Responsible Supplier (no. E22539)
A full Operating & Care Manual and cleaning products supplied at handover
A paid 12-month scheduled service is required to keep full warranty cover. Accessories, flooring and travel costs sit outside the warranty — see our Warranty & Service page for full terms.
Question 6: Will it look the part?
A home chamber lives in your space every day, so it should be beautiful.
UNO — clean, minimal white, designed specifically for the home
OPULENT — bespoke, one-of-one finishes in marble and custom materials, for homes where every detail is designed
Integrated LED lighting, music and fan control through the Kryo Kontroller tablet make every session feel like a ritual.
The home experience
Picture it: a morning session before work, two minutes of deep, dry cold with your favourite track playing, then straight into your day feeling sharp and switched on. Or an evening session after training, without leaving the house.
Published research into whole-body cryotherapy has explored areas such as perceived recovery, soreness, sleep and mood, and the science continues to develop. What home owners tell us is simpler: having it right there means they actually use it.
