KRYO KUBE: The most Eco Friendly Efficient Cryotherapy Chambers Globally
Whole-body cryotherapy has a reputation for being power-hungry. Many chambers need three-phase power, dedicated high-amp circuits, or regular deliveries of liquid nitrogen just to keep running.
We set out to change that. When we designed KRYO KUBE, energy efficiency sat alongside purchase price as one of the two core drivers behind every engineering and manufacturing decision. The result is a range of chambers we call eco-engineered: built to use a fraction of the power, cut single-use waste and use natural materials where it counts.
Here's what that means in practice.
A fraction of the power, from a standard wall socket
Every KRYO KUBE is 100% electric and plugs into a standard Australian 10A single-phase outlet. No three-phase upgrade, no switchboard overhaul.
Rated power across the range:
UNO: 300W
KUB: 400W
EKO: 700W
PREMIUM: 800W (takes 2–3 people)
OPULENT: 1,200W (takes 2–3 people)
To put that in context, we compared these figures with the published specifications of other electric whole-body chambers on the market:
A European three-phase electric chamber: 380–400V three-phase supply, 32A connected load
Another three-phase electric chamber: 400V three-phase, drawing up to 25–30A per phase
A single-phase electric chamber marketed as eco: 5.5kW rated, needing a dedicated 16–32A circuit
The lowest-powered of those is rated at 5.5kW. Our EKO is rated at 700W, roughly one-eighth of that. Even our largest chamber, the 2–3 person OPULENT, is rated at under a quarter of it.
The chambers also draw less than their rated wattage when idling overnight with the fan on Low or Off.
Comparison based on manufacturers' published specifications as at October 2026. Rated power is a maximum, not measured consumption, and chambers differ in size and design. Actual energy use depends on how a venue runs its chamber.
Nitrogen-free, so nothing to truck in
Nitrogen-cooled cryotherapy runs on a consumable. Liquid nitrogen has to be produced, delivered by truck, stored in pressurised tanks, and replaced as it boils off, whether the chamber is busy or not.
KRYO KUBE chambers use none of it. They run on electricity alone, from the moment they're plugged in. That means no delivery runs, no storage tanks, and no gas lost to evaporation between sessions.
Reusable gloves and masks
Every session needs protective gloves and a mask. Many venues use disposables, which means a steady stream of single-use waste going into the bin.
KRYO KUBE supplies reusable gloves and masks instead. They're cleaned and reused between sessions, so a busy venue avoids sending used protective gear to landfill every day.
Natural cork flooring
The mats our clients step onto are cork. Cork is harvested from the bark of the cork oak; the tree isn't cut down, and the bark grows back to be harvested again roughly every nine years.
It's a renewable, natural material that's comfortable underfoot and suits the clean look of a recovery space.
Built to run efficiently, 24/7
KRYO KUBE chambers are designed to stay on and ready, so there's no long cool-down before the first client of the day. Overnight, the fan can be set to Low or Off to reduce power use further.
Maintenance is light too: a quick defrost and disinfect about once a month if needed, using the cleaning products supplied at handover. Each chamber is built in Australia and certified to AS/NZS electrical standards by our own licensed electrician.
Eco-engineered, by design
Low rated power. No liquid nitrogen. Reusable gloves and masks. Natural cork underfoot. For gyms, clinics, recovery centres, hotels and sports clubs, that adds up to a chamber that's simpler to install and lighter to run.
